...Ruby got baptized

Ruby's baptism took place on June 4. She is the first of the grandchildren to turn 8. She shared the day with her friend in the ward, Sage.  

Ruby and Sage each sang a solo. Brave girls!

When Ruby walked into the water, Sonora pounded on the glass and Chet asked, "Is that Ruby in there?" She was baptized by her dad and immersed only once because she kept her feet under the water.

Then Ruby was confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She wore a dress that Aunt Becky wore when she was confirmed. 

After the baptism, we went to April and Scott's for a picnic. Sonora wanted to drive the van. But Beau was the one to convince Uncle Dave to let him drive on the dirt road. When Beau almost hit a post and Dave didn't reach for the wheel Dave replied, "Well, he's got to learn the consequences sometime." I hope he learns in the van and not in our 4-runner.
